The last day of our visit, my boyfriend and I took a 15-minute ride in a local cab from the Kremlin back to our hospital. My HSBC debit was the only way the cardholder could pay, so I used my HSBC debit to pay. £10 should have been on my bill the following months as £1.017 pounds came out.

There was no way to give information other than the registration on my charge sheet to help me locate the retailer. The HSBC had said that it would not be able to help. I suspect the fact that the rider only took tickets. Then I went back to HSBC and expressed these opinions.

Seoul Taxi Rates - South Korea

Standard taxis start at W3000 and are increased by 100 depending on time/distance (the base price includes the first two kilometres of the journey and is then added for 142 metres of the journey). At speeds of less than 15 kilometres perhour, every 35 seconds adding 100 is added to the counter.

Get a cab: Whilst most cabs are marked on the road, it is possible to order a "Call Taxi". Except for international cabs (as long as they are still driving), a W1000 supplement is added to the overall price when a cab is called. Notice that the user who responds may be monolingual Koreans.

Cocoa taxis are becoming increasingly common in Korea, even among foreigners who don't know much about it. You will find the cab if you have your mobile device equipped with Wi-Fi and the free application can simply be download. The use of the cocoa application is free and the rates are the same as above.

If you take a cab between midnight and 4 a.m., a 20% supplement will be added to the base price (before 12 October, the supplement was W2880). Outside Seoul Award On 12 October 2013, the Seoul Metropolitan Region reintroduced the 20% Seoul award fee to neighbouring towns, which was abolished in 2009.

ATTENTION: The tariffs are displayed on the counter and all taxis have counters. You can mark your cab on the road. You can also find them at cab booths all over the town. A few riders will reject a ticket that the passenger only covers for a small part of the journey - they would prefer to continue for mysterious reasons. They can also be rejected because your target is too far away or in the opposite directions if the rider soon leaves the shifts or wants to take a lunchbreak at a particular time.

Could be real or it could be that they are not legitimate cabs.

Vouchers are available at all cabs.... Linked to the counter, they show the precise price and number of kilometres. In case the rider does not get the voucher, you can say it in Korean: yong-su-jung (means taxi bill). If you have missed something in the cabin, you can immediately turn to the drivers.

Vouchers all have a telephone number for the rider, usually a mobile number, although some only display a fixed number. You can also use your voucher to help you ID the chauffeur if there was a difficulty and you were not able to get the chauffeur ID before leaving the cab.
