Haus is voting to freeze plane shipments to Iran.

On Wednesday the House adopted action to stop the sale of commercial airliners to Iran, despite some Democrats' warning that this would erode the country's global agreement to restrict its atomic programme. Rep. Peter Roskam (R-Ill.) proposed two changes to a 2018 federal expenditure packet that would explicitly forbid the use of resources to approve finance operations for sale and hinder the Office of Foreign Assets Control from issuing licences for airplane purchases.

Mr Roskam said the US should abstain from reselling the plane to Iran as the US has long used commercial planes to carry supplies such as arms and forces to assist President Bashar Assad in Syria. "By the time Iran stops using commercial planes to assist terrorist and martial artists, foreign corporations should no longer be able to resell planes they can use to refuel Assad's violent war," Roskam said during the plenary session debates.

"It is important, I think, that we can fulfil our obligations under the treaty with Iran. Iran's treaty on atomic energy has proved its worth and is one of the few rays of hope in the region," said Mr Blumenauer. In addition, the House adopted additional laws last November to freeze licences to fund airplane purchases with Iran, but it never received a Senate voice.

While Iran Air has links with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, which continues to be punished by the US, Iran Air was given sanction alleviation under the 2015 Atomic Energy Agreement in return for restrictions on Iran's atomic programme. Airbus, a leading aeroplane maker in Europe, and Boeing, an US based aeroplane maker, last year concluded multi-billion Euro transactions with Iran to purchase aeroplanes.

President Trump has spoken out against the Iran transaction, but his government has taken no action to stop it. Enforcing a halt to the transaction may conflict with Trump's support for production work in the US, despite his pledge to be harder on Iran. Do not exclude it that legislators urge the Super Micro media for responses to MORE ( R-Fla. ) 1983 issues chopping President Trump in April to stop selling planes to Iran. "It is completely intolerable that U.S.-made airplanes could be used as a tool of terrorism and should not be tolerated by the U.S. government," they said in a note to Trump.
