Privatjets are the most luxurious and costliest toy in the game. Just 1% of the world's richest 10% can buy a personal plane and even renting one is only accessible to the top 5%. If a customer is chartering an ExecuJet aircraft in Cape Town, for example for a Cape Town to Johannesburg trip, the aircraft will fly the customer up and return empty. Aircraft must be back in Cape Town, but the customer just chased it for the ride, so they have a so called "empty leg" back to Cape Town.

Customers also cannot buy a singles or doubles in an aircraft, they have to check out the whole aircraft. That means if the carrier sells a Bombardier BD-100 Challenger 300 with a maximum of 8 seats on a Cape Town to Norwegian Airlines ticket to Cape Town, you must take the whole aircraft, even if you are only 2 or 3 seats.

Prices are always the prices for the entire aircraft. Looking briefly at the latest lists shows a Cape Town to Walvis Bay trip with a Pilatus PC-12 Turbo Prop that accommodates a maximum of 7 R9000 sellers (excluding taxes). There is a Bombardier BD-100 Challenger 300 from Johannesburg to Maun, Botswana, which can carry up to 8 persons for R28 650 (excluding taxes).

When you can fill the Walvis Bay plane with 7 passengers, then you pay only R1286 pp (excluding taxes) for the plane, and when you can get 8 passengers for the Maun plane, then you pay R3582 pp (excluding taxes) for the one-way plane with your own plane.

Cancellations may be made by the carrier at any time for unexpected reasons, so you may be departing one or two days before your departure time without a scheduled one. However, if the carriers are cancelling a ticket, the customer will get a full reimbursement.
