City Aeronautics is based at Northeast Iowa Regional Airfield in Charles City, Iowa. City Aeronautics is your full-service FBO with charters, flying lessons, refuelling, maintenance and much more. Founded in 1957, Charles City Aeronautics, Inc. provides airfield operations and aircraft handling to the North Iowa area.

Charles City Aeronautics was established by Norbert Baltes and Lyle Kyle and has been serving the North Iowa area for 60 years.

City Aeronautics announced to expand

They will be put into service as Central Iowa Air Service at Ames Municipal Airport in Ames, Iowa, from April 1, 2017. Iowa Air Service will provide AV Gas / Jet Fuelling Service, charters, flight training, airplane servicing, airplane sale, rentals and warehousing and much more. The Ames staff is led by Nicole Kyle, Ames Operation Manager and Director of Marketing for NIAS / CIAS.

The CIAS will also employ a full-time chief clerk, a full-time airplane and power plant technician, a full-time flying instructor, 2 full-time field staff and 4 full-time field staff. The CIAS will have a Piper Archer and Piper Warrior for trainers/rental and a Piper Navajofor charterservice.

CIAS clients also have full NIAS air liner capability, which includes a Piper Comanche, Piper Cherokees, Piper Aztec, Piper Cheyennes and a Bombardier Lear 45. Please call Central Iowa Air Service at 515-292-9056 or nikki@centraliowaair.com. for more information.
