Cancellation of an Intercity booking

The Intercity Xpress is only bound to the price that is charged when the ticket is purchased. Changes, Cancellations & Refunds | InterCity NZ Learn more about how to modify or cancel your booking. Changes, cancellation and refunds/credit notes depend on the ticket price category bought. A booking has to be paid for all changes. Booking of buses and ferries can be changed up to 2 hrs before sailing, but extra fees are charged.

Changes made through our call center are subject to a $5 call center service center rate, changes made on-line are subject to a booking penalty, which is in excess of the extra call center surcharge.

You cannot make changes or cancel move postings. As soon as a default rate is canceled or modified, you will have until the middle of the same night to make a new booking or your balance will lapse. Booking can be modified or canceled up to 48 hrs before scheduled departures (booking fee).

Reimbursements must be requested within 31 business Days of the date of notice of withdrawal. The booking fee is non-refundable. When you purchase a Flexi tariff by changing a cheaper default tariff, only the differential can be refunded.

Cancel your passport and receive a full refund if you have not travelled on it or if you cancel it more than 2hrs prior to your first itinerary.

Booking of tours can be modified up to 2 hrs before sailing, but extra costs may be incurred. Changes made through our call center are subject to a $5 change penalty, which is in excess of the extra cost. There is no refund for InterCity Tours after purchase.
