Taxi Badge Application

In order to obtain a taxi driver's license (including Hackney Carriage and personal rental), you must have been in possession of a full DPLA driver's license for at least 2 years. Candidates can only try the education three different time, and if they fail, we will not receive another application for a 6 month timeframe.

Requests remain effective for 6 month from the date of issue of your DBS certification. Failure to successfully finish all necessary testing within this period may void your application and non-refund all charges made. Failure to comply with a conviction or precaution may lead to your application being rejected.

Application for a taxi driver's license (incl. Hackney Carriage and personal rental)

Test method for a taxi and/or sedan/limousine operating permit

From 4 May 2018, the taxi and/or sedan/limousine company inspection will be carried out ONLY on Friday at 9:30 a.m.. I want you to get there 30 mins before the test. An application for a new public driving licence must be filled in before the test and you must produce the necessary documentation specified on the application.

If you do not submit the necessary documentation, you cannot take the test. The results of your test will be sent to you at the end of the test. Remember: You do not need to obtain a fingerprint until the investigation has been successfully completed.
