Among the issues I encountered was that I could not use ITunes because the system was too old, and the impression was given that the system could not be up-dated. So, a few nights ago, I found that I could install the latest version of the Mac by buying Snow Leopard and then install it, so I could continue upgrading from there, brilliantly, I thought.
Even somewhere where I have been reading I can run a max of 4GB and other places I have been reading I can run 8GB. And so I estimate what I really want to know from anyone with any previous knowledge is that what is the maximal amount of random access memory I can actually use?
Even if I would buy Snow Leopard and then carry out further operating system upgrades, how far can I go on. At the bottom I copy and paste the hardware overview and the system software overview, I omitted the hardware UUID and hardware number, I didn't think they were pertinent. Overview of hardware:

To upgrade a MacBook 5.1 ?
Got an old MacBook 5.1 with 10.5.8 Intel Core 2 Duo and 4GB RAM and 2.4GHz processor speed up. Internet resources say this computer is prepared for el capitain. However, any update I have made to my (modern) computer using the App Store will not be acceptable to this old MacBook.
But I have a little doubt: my computer is different from the old MacBook when I am trying to install an application on my computer. Single problem: This old MacBook has no App Store. Therefore, it is not possible to perform the update. Must I buy a 20 dollar Löwen first to be able to arm El Capitain later?
